Onward HO!
Sufferer says
My dear beloved needs expensive cardiac surgery. I can't afford. What to do?
Funder says
I thank god for his bountiful blessings. I wish to support those who need. How will I find?
H4H bridges the beneficiaries with the funders.
At the grassroot level, the poor do not know that cardiac disease kills. H4H detects through camps, referrals or directly. Through volunteers gradually rapport is sealed. Child with parents / adults with one attender are transported and accommodated at Udhavum Karangal (UK), an NGO near Chennai. Surgeries are performed after preparation. Udhavum Karangal (UK) team & H4H team interact during preparation to keep these children under close observation & action. Their stay for preparation & performance of surgery at Public Health Centre (PHC) with its effective infrastructure allows quality care delivery. Proficient care is given in the post-operative ward. Stay at Udhavum Karangal (UK) is extended for one more week. Operated patients are returned to their homes and reviewed periodically. Study analysis on the impact of surgery on cardiac function, individuals, families & society is made. Partnership with other NGOs helps in their education / career. The entire cost is borne by Multi-Source Funding - CMCHIS (Chief Minister's Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme) & other funders. Continuous upgradation of knowledge and skills of the entire team is ensured by interaction with various national and international cardiac centres.
Rapport between the donor & beneficiary carries on for generations. Donor bequeaths his wealth and gratitude of his beneficiaries to his successors. Beneficiaries leave behind legacies of the magnanimity of the donors. So the benefit of giving is not one time. It flows on to generations. Life is precious.
Every person wishes to help anyone in distress. Rapport between the donor and beneficiary is an undefinable emotion. H4H fosters this rapport.
