Preface: Creating awareness and fund flow
In 2002 idea of support to the less affluent, other than that of the government hospitals was born. Creating awareness and fund flow fell in the incubation period. Dr K. Jagadeesan (Medical Director KJ Hospital & Chairman KJ Research Foundation, Chennai, Tamil Nadu) was and is a pillar of strength.
2005
Holistic Project
Holistic to include from awareness creation to surgery & periodical follow-up for final impact on society. Multi-source Funds included CMCHIS (Chief Minister's Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme), Philanthropists, National & International Funding Organizations & Corporates with CSR. 167 Surgeries performed.
2011
Team Expansion
Intensive care team of 5 nurses, 3 intensivists, 2 for administration & 5 volunteers under an experienced, dedicated, qualified social worker were added. Visiting team from Children's Hospital Boston.
